TERMINATION OF TENANCIES BY ENTIRETY

AN ACT to provide for the termination of tenancies by the entirety and the conveyance of interests therein.

The People of the State of Michigan enact:


557.101 Tenancy by entirety; termination.

Sec. 1.

     In all cases where husband and wife own any interest in land as tenants by the entirety, such tenancy by the entirety may be terminated by a conveyance from either one to the other of his or her interest in the land so held.

557.102 Act declaratory of common law.

Sec. 2.

     This act shall be deemed to be declaratory of the common law as heretofore existing in this state.
