TRANSCRIPTS OF CERTAIN RECORDS
Act 243 of 1919
AN ACT to require the issuance, without fee or charge therefor, of transcripts, under seal, of any records of the offices of secretary of state, adjutant general, judges of probate, county clerks and justices of the peace, pertaining to pensions, insurance payments or annuities, to soldiers, sailors and marines of the several wars of the United States and to their widows or other dependents, either in person or by attorney.

The People of the State of Michigan enact:
35.41 Veterans; transcripts of certain records issued without fee.
Sec. 1.
Upon request, either in person or by attorney, transcripts, under seal, of any records of the offices of secretary of state, adjutant general, judges of probate, county clerks and justices of the peace, pertaining to pensions, insurance payments or annuities, shall, without charge or fee therefor, be issued to soldiers, sailors and marines of the several wars of the United States and to their widows or other dependents.
