AN ACT to provide for the establishment of a department of veterinary science at the Michigan agricultural college.

The People of the State of Michigan enact:
390.201 Department of veterinary science; establishment.
Sec. 1.
The state board of agriculture is hereby authorized and empowered to establish a department at the Michigan agricultural college, to be known as the department of veterinary science.

Sec. 2.
The said state board of agriculture may provide suitable accommodations for class and demonstrating rooms; may appoint such professors of veterinary science and such tutors, demonstrators and other instructors as may from time to time be necessary; may furnish all necessary apparatus and appliances for the study of veterinary science; may prescribe and regulate the course of study; may make such rules and regulations as may be necessary, and may grant to each student satisfactorily completing the prescribed course of study a diploma and confer upon each such student the degree of "Doctor of Veterinary Science."
