SUMMARY OF SENATE BILL 260 as introduced 2-14-95:

 

The bill would amend the Management and Budget Act to specify that the Department of Management and Budget (DMB) would have to require that each contract entered into for construction, alteration, repair, or rebuilding of a building or facility owned or operated by the State contain the minimal energy efficiency rating requirements for energy consuming materials used in the construction, alteration, repair, or rebuilding.

 

The DMB would have to determine which materials were energy consuming materials and the minimum energy efficiency rating requirements for those materials before it accepted a bid or proposal under the Act.
