Section 611 of Senate Bill 310 (S-4) would prohibit the Department of Education from spending for maintenance costs for the Lansing facility from the operations line for the Michigan School for the Deaf/Blind. This means that the Department of Education would have to pay maintenance from other lines or completely close the facility or have some other department or agency pay the expenses.
