House Bill 4280 (Substitute H-1 as reported without amendment)

Sponsor: Representative Allen L. Lowe

House Committee: Conservation, Environment and Great Lakes

Senate Committee: Natural Resources and Environmental Affairs

CONTENT

The bill would amend the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act to specify that the Act’s prohibition against operating a snowmobile on a railroad or railroad right-of-way would not apply to persons using a demonstration snowmobile trail located on a railroad right-of-way owned by the Detroit and Mackinaw railway company connecting to a State-owned railroad right-of-way operated by the Lake State railway company, between Gaylord and Grayling. Currently, the Act specifies that the prohibition does not apply to persons using the demonstration trail located on a railroad right-of-way connecting to a State-owned railroad right-of-way between Gaylord and Frederic.
