CONTENT

Public Act 342 of 1996 specified several changes to the State revenue sharing program. It also included language to set up a bipartisan revenue sharing task force to investigate the revenue sharing distribution formulae and sources of revenue for distributions. The task force also was required to make written recommendations to each member of the Legislature by September 30, 1997.

The bill would amend the State Revenue Sharing Act to change the date of the revenue sharing written recommendation to on or before March 2, 1998.

The bill would have no fiscal impact on State or local government.
