CONTENT


The bill would amend the Michigan Vehicle Code to require that the Secretary of State's record of applications for registration of motor vehicles be available to State and Federal agencies as provided under Senate Bill 794. (The Code requires that the Secretary of State create and maintain a computerized central file of all applications for registration of motor vehicles, and that the computerized central file be interfaced with the Law Enforcement Information Network. The records must be preserved for three years after the date of registration.)


The bill is tie-barred to Senate Bill 794.
