House Bill 4814 (as passed by the House)

Sponsor: Representative Paul Tesanovich

House Committee: Regulatory Affairs

Senate Committee: Local, Urban and State Affairs

Date Completed: 10-28-97

CONTENT

The bill would authorize the Department of State Police to convey to Iron County for $1 property located in the county's Bates Township. The conveyance would be by quitclaim deed approved by the Attorney General. Revenue received under the bill would have to be deposited in the State Treasury and credited to the General Fund.

FISCAL IMPACT

The bill would have no fiscal impact on State government as the concerned property was originally conveyed to the State for $1, and under the bill would be conveyed back to the county for $1. The local unit of government could realize some gain from the conveyance to the extent that the value of the adjacent county property was enhanced as a result of this conveyance.
