        A bill to designate an official flower and an official tree

   of this state; and to repeal acts and parts of acts.

               THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 1         Sec. 1.  The trillium (Trillium grandiflorum, L.)  is desig-

 2    nated as the official flower of this state.

 3         Sec. 2.  The wild crab apple tree (Malus coronaria, L.)  is

 4    designated as the official tree of this state.

 5         Enacting section 1.  1897 Joint Resolution 10, MCL 2.11, and

 6    1955 PA 7, MCL 2.31, are repealed.
