        A bill to amend 1949 PA 300, entitled

   "Michigan vehicle code,"

   by amending section 33 (MCL 257.33), as amended by 1995 PA 140.

               THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 1         Sec. 33.  "Motor vehicle" means every vehicle that is

 2    self-propelled, but for purposes of chapter 4 of this act motor

 3    vehicle does not include industrial equipment such as a forklift,

 4    a front-end loader, or other construction equipment that is not

 5    subject to registration under this act.  MOTOR VEHICLE DOES NOT

 6    INCLUDE AN ELECTRIC PATROL VEHICLE BEING OPERATED IN COMPLIANCE

 7    WITH THE ELECTRIC PATROL VEHICLE ACT.

 8         Enacting section 1.  This amendatory act does not take

 9    effect unless House Bill No. 4391 of the 89th Legislature is

10    enacted into law.
