A bill to amend 1895 PA 3, entitled "The general law village act," (MCL 61.1 to 74.25) by amending the title, as amended by 1983 PA 44, and by adding section 14 to chapter III. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT: 1 TITLE 2 An act to provide for the incorporation of villages; to 3 define their powers and duties; to provide for the levy and col- 4 lection of taxes, borrowing of money, and issuance of bonds and 5 other evidences of indebtedness by villages; to define the powers 6 and duties of the municipal finance commission or its successor 7 agency and of the department of treasury with regard thereto; to 8 define the application of this act and provide for its amendment 9 by villages subject thereto;andto validate prior amendments 02378'97 t KKR 2 1 and certain prior actions taken and bonds issued by villages; AND 2 TO PRESCRIBE PENALTIES AND PROVIDE REMEDIES. 3 CHAPTER III 4 SEC. 14.
