A bill to amend 1925 PA 234, entitled "An act to provide for the creation and establishment of port districts; to prescribe their rights, powers, duties and privi- leges; to prescribe their powers of regulation in certain cases; to prescribe their powers in respect to acquiring, improving, enlarging, extending, operating, maintaining and financing vari- ous projects and the conditions upon which certain of said projects may extend into another state or county," (MCL 120.1 to 120.35) by amending the title and by adding section 2a. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT: 1 TITLE 2 An act to provide for the creation and establishment of port 3 districts; to prescribe their rights, powers, duties and privi- 4 leges; to prescribe their powers of regulation in certain cases; 5 to prescribe their powers in respect to acquiring, improving, 6 enlarging, extending, operating, maintaining, and financing 7 various projects and the conditions upon which certain of said 02378'97 z KKR 2 1 projects may extend into another state or county; AND TO 2 PRESCRIBE PENALTIES AND PROVIDE REMEDIES. 3 SEC. 2A. A PETITION UNDER SECTION 2 OR 3, INCLUDING THE 4 CIRCULATION AND SIGNING OF THE PETITION, IS SUBJECT TO SECTION 5 488 OF THE MICHIGAN ELECTION LAW, 1954 PA 116, MCL 168.488. A 6 PERSON WHO VIOLATES A PROVISION OF THE MICHIGAN ELECTION LAW, 7 1954 PA 116, MCL 168.1 TO 168.992, APPLICABLE TO A PETITION 8 DESCRIBED IN THIS SECTION IS SUBJECT TO THE PENALTIES PRESCRIBED 9 FOR THAT VIOLATION IN THE MICHIGAN ELECTION LAW, 1954 PA 116, MCL 10 168.1 TO 168.992. 11 Enacting section 1.
