        A bill to amend 1968 PA 191, entitled

   "An act to create a state boundary commission; to prescribe its
   powers and duties; to provide for municipal incorporation, con-
   solidation and annexation; and to repeal certain acts and parts
   of acts,"

   (MCL 123.1001 to 123.1020) by amending the title and by adding

   section 7a.

               THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 1                                  TITLE

 2         An act to create a state boundary commission; to prescribe

 3    its powers and duties; to provide for municipal incorporation,

 4    consolidation, and annexation; TO PRESCRIBE PENALTIES AND PROVIDE

 5    REMEDIES; and to repeal  certain  acts and parts of acts.

 6         SEC. 7A.  A PETITION UNDER SECTION 7, 10(3), 12, OR 12A(3),

 7    INCLUDING THE CIRCULATION AND SIGNING OF THE PETITION, IS SUBJECT

 8    TO SECTION 488 OF THE MICHIGAN ELECTION LAW, 1954 PA 116, MCL

 6         Enacting section 1.  This amendatory act does not take

 7    effect unless Senate Bill No. _____ or House Bill No. _____
