        A bill to amend 1949 PA 300, entitled

   "Michigan vehicle code,"

   by amending section 20a (MCL 257.20a), as added by 1996 PA 404.

               THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 1         Sec. 20a.  "Historic vehicle" means a vehicle  which is 

 2    over 25 years old  , and which  THAT is  owned solely as a

 3     collector's item and  USED SOLELY for participation in club

 4    activities, exhibitions, tours, parades, and similar uses,

 5    including mechanical testing, but THAT is not used for general

 6    transportation.
