April 16, 1997, Introduced by Senators HOFFMAN, BULLARD and STALLINGS and referred to the Committee on Economic Development, International Trade and Regulatory Affairs. A bill to repeal 1941 PA 309, entitled "An act to give the state board of examiners of barbers jurisdic- tion to investigate trade practices among barbers, haircutters, barber and haircutting schools and colleges; to enforce such reg- ulations pertaining to reasonable service charges and reasonable hours of operation of barber shops, haircutting shops, barber and haircutting schools and colleges as will tend to eliminate unfair and insanitary practices; fixing territorial units for such regu- lations; regulating barber schools, haircutting schools and col- leges and practices therein; and repealing all acts and parts of acts in conflict herewith," (MCL 338.651 to 338.662).
