ENROLLED SENATE BILL No. 714
AN ACT to amend 1996 PA 202, entitled "An act to authorize the state administrative board to convey certain state owned property in Kalkaska county; to prescribe certain conditions for the conveyance; and to provide for disposition of the revenue derived from the conveyance," by amending the title and by adding sections 7, 8, and 9.
The People of the State of Michigan enact:
TITLE
An act to authorize the state administrative board to convey certain state owned property in Kalkaska county; to authorize the department of natural resources to convey certain state owned property in Mackinac county; to prescribe conditions for the conveyances; and to provide for disposition of the revenue derived from the conveyances.
Sec. 7. The parcel of property for which the parcel described in section 5 shall be exchanged is described as follows:
Beginning at the NW Corner of Lot 1, Block 4, Arnold's Replat, City of St. Ignace, Mackinac County, Michigan, which is also the intersection of the South line of Stockbridge and the East line of Hazelton Streets:
thence S04°-08'-47"E 421.91 feet along the East line of Hazelton Street to shore of Lake Huron:
thence N70°-41'-50"E 123.73 feet along shore of Lake Huron;
thence S59°-04'-34"E 300.40 feet continuing along lakeshore;
thence N04°-08'-47"W 271.82 feet;
thence N55°-03'-22"W 142.55 feet;
thence N04°-08'-47"W 102.06 feet;
thence S87°-47'-50"W 50 feet to the Southeast Corner of Lot 4, Block 4, Arnold's Replat;
thence N04°-08'-47"W 89.76 feet along easterly line of Lot 4, Block 4, Arnold's Replat to South line of Stockbridge Street R.O.W.;
thence S87°-47'-50"W along said R.O.W. line 204.79 feet to point of beginning.
Containing 3.047 acres.
Being all of Lots 1, 2, 3, & 4, Block 4 Arnold's Replat and part of Lot 32 of Assessor's Plat #3, City of St. Ignace and any similar bottom lands opposite, adjacent and contiguous to Lot 32, Assessor's Plat #3, City of St. Ignace, Mackinac County, Michigan.
Sec. 8. The conveyance of the property described in section 5 shall be by quitclaim deed approved by the attorney general and shall convey all rights held by the state to coal, oil, gas, and other nonmetallic minerals found on, within, or under the conveyed property.
Sec. 9. The revenue remaining after the construction of the boat launch referred to in section 6 shall be deposited in the state treasury and credited to the general fund.
Enacting section 1. This amendatory act does not take effect unless House Bill No. 5058 of the 89th Legislature is enacted into law.
This act is ordered to take immediate effect.
