ADDENDUM TO SENATE FISCAL AGENCY ANALYSIS OF SB 120 AND 885 DATED 11-17-99:


HOUSE COMMITTEE ACTION:


The House Committee on Criminal Law and Corrections adopted a substitute, H-1, for Senate Bill 120. The substitute incorporates the following amendments to the Senate-passed version of the bill:


Further, the committee adopted Substitute H-2 for Senate Bill 885. The substitute contains conflict language to reflect the language enacted in Public Act 279 of 2000, which also amended this section of law. In addition, the committee substitute contains a January 1, 2001 effective date.
