ADDENDUM TO SENATE FISCAL AGENCY ANALYSIS OF SB 803 DATED 11-29-99:

HOUSE COMMITTEE ACTION:

The House Local Government and Urban Policy Committee adopted two identical amendments to the bill, both changing the word "recording" to the word "filing". The word was changed in order to more accurately describe the manner in which a corner record (a document that describes a property controlling corner used as a control in a public land survey) is recorded in the office of the register of deeds.

POSITIONS:

The Michigan Townships Association supports the bill. (2-17-00)
