ADDENDUM TO SENATE FISCAL AGENCY ANALYSIS OF SB 838 AND 839 DATED 1-14-00:
HOUSE COMMITTEE ACTION:
The House Committee on Criminal Law and Corrections adopted amendments to both bills that would provide for an effective date and tiebar. Both bills would take effect on October 1, 2000. Senate Bill 838 is tie-barred to House Bill 5311 and would not take effect unless both bills were enacted. Senate Bill 839 is tie-barred to Senate Bill 838 and House Bill 5311 and would not take effect unless all three were enacted.
