A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 4267 AS INTRODUCED 2-11-99


The bill would amend the Social Welfare Act to provide full wages to an employee of the Family Independence Agency (FIA) who was injured during the course of his or her employment as the result of an assault by not only a recipient of social services, as currently is the case, but also by an individual acting in concert with or at the direction of a recipient of benefits or service under the act, by an applicant for benefits or services under the act, or by one who was the subject of an investigation being conducted by the FIA under the act or other state or federal law, or by an individual acting in concert with or at the direction of someone being so investigated.
