A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 4629 AS INTRODUCED 5-4-99

Under current law concerning the election and duties of township officers, the township supervisor is the moderator of annual or special township meetings. If the supervisor is not present, the meeting, under the direction of the township clerk, elects a moderator by voice vote.

House Bill 4629 would amend the act to require that the township supervisor also would serve as the moderator of a regular meeting.
