A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 4704 AS INTRODUCED 5-18-99


House Bill 4704 would amend the Revised School Code to require dress codes in public schools beginning in the fall of 1999. Specifically, under the bill, the board of a school district, local act school district, or intermediate school district, or the board of directors of a public school academy, would be required to adopt and implement a uniform dress and appearance policy for pupils, not later than the 1999-2000 school year.
