A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 4779 AS INTRODUCED 6-11-99

House Bill 4779 would amend the statutory sentencing guidelines to include the crimes of corrupting or attempting to corrupt an examining officer and corrupting or attempting to corrupt a person or agency conducting a driving test. Both crimes would be classified as class F crimes against public order with statutory maximums of 4 years. The crimes themselves are defined in House Bill 4778, which would revise several provisions of the graduated driver license program that was adopted by the legislature as Public Act 387 of 1996.
