A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 5096 AS INTRODUCED 11-4-99

Currently, the Michigan Campaign Finance Act limits the amount of contributions per election cycle that persons other than independent committees or political party committees can make to candidate committees of candidates for elective office. The bill would amend the act to also limit the amount that an individual could make in a calendar year to committees organized under the act to no more than $50,000.
