A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 5463 AS INTRODUCED 2-29-00


Public Act 72 of 1999 amended the Michigan Election Law to change the date for statewide presidential primary elections from the third Tuesday in March to the fourth Tuesday in February. The bill would amend the act to change the date for statewide presidential primary elections from the first Tuesday in February to, instead, the first Tuesday after the first Monday in May.
