CONTENT
The bill would amend the Michigan Consumer Protection Act to provide that requiring a consumer to disclose his or her Social Security number as a condition of a sale or service, unless the sale or service included an extension of credit to the consumer, would be unlawful as an unfair, unconscionable, or deceptive method, act, or practice in the conduct of trade or commerce.
