CONTENT


The bill would amend the Michigan Penal Code to revise a condition under which enhanced penalties are provided for simple assault and aggravated assault when the victim is the offender's spouse or former spouse, an individual with whom he or she has had a child in common, or a resident or former resident of "his or her" household. The bill change the last provision to refer to a resident or former resident of "the same" household.
