        A bill to amend 1974 PA 258, entitled

   "Mental health code,"

   by amending section 214 (MCL 330.1214).

               THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

 1         Sec. 214.  When a single county establishes a board, all

 2    board members shall be representatives of that county.  When a

 3    combination of counties establishes a board, UNLESS OTHERWISE

 4    AGREED TO BY EACH OF THE PARTICIPATING COUNTIES, the board mem-

 5    berships shall be divided among the counties in proportion to

 6    each county's population, except that each county  shall be
