A bill to make an appropriation for the national memorial for World War II veterans; and to prescribe duties of certain state officials. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT: 1 Sec. 1. (1) There is appropriated $403,000.00, which is 2 equal to $1.00 for each Michigan resident who served in the armed 3 forces during World War II, to "The American Battle Monuments 4 Commission" for deposit into the fund created in the United 5 States treasury for construction of the memorial authorized under 6 Public Law 103-32, 40 U.S.C. 1003nt. 7 (2) The state treasurer shall take the necessary action to 8 implement this section. 9 Sec. 2. The department of military and veterans affairs 10 shall cooperate with the department of treasury in carrying out 11 the purposes of this act. 03603'99 * JJG
