        A bill to amend 1937 PA 215, entitled

   "An act to authorize municipalities to own or control cemetery or
   burial grounds; to provide for perpetual care and maintenance;
   and to permit municipalities to authorize the creation of joint
   cemetery associations,"

   by amending section 2 (MCL 128.2), as added by 1980 PA 366.

               THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

           Sec. 2.  (1) The legislative body of 2 or more municipali-

 2
      ties may authorize the formation of a nonprofit corporation as a

 3
      joint cemetery authority to acquire, own, operate, maintain, and

 4
      sell real and personal property used for a cemetery or burial

 5
      ground.

           (2) THE FUNDS ACQUIRED AND HELD FOR MAINTENANCE OF A CEME-

 7
      TERY FORMED UNDER SUBSECTION (1) SHALL BE INVESTED IN THE MANNER

 8
      AUTHORIZED FOR OTHER FUNDS OF THE MUNICIPALITIES FORMING THE

 9
      NONPROFIT CORPORATION.

      effect unless all of the following bills of the 90th Legislature

      are enacted into law:
