A bill to make appropriations for the state institutions of higher

education for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2001; and to provide

for the expenditures of the appropriations.

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

2 LINE-ITEM APPROPRIATIONS

3 Sec. 101. There is appropriated for the state institutions of

4 higher education and certain state purposes related to education, and

5 subject to the conditions set forth in this act, from the general fund of

6 the state, for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2001, the sum of

7 $_______________ or as much thereof as may be necessary for the several

8 purposes and in the following respective amounts:

3 GENERAL SECTIONS

4 Sec. 201. In accordance with the provisions of section 30 of arti-

5 cle IX of the state constitution of 1963, total state spending from state

6 resources in this appropriations act for the fiscal year ending

7 September 30, 2001 is $_______________ and state appropriations paid to

8 units of local government are $0.

9 Sec. 202. The appropriations made and expenditures authorized under

10 this act and the departments, commissions, boards, offices, and programs

11 for which appropriations are made under this act are subject to the man-

12 agement and budget act, 1984 PA 431, MCL 18.1101 to 18.1594.
