ADDENDUM TO SENATE FISCAL AGENCY ANALYSIS OF SB 434 DATED 6-1-01:
HOUSE COMMITTEE ACTION:
The Committee on Family and Children Services amended the bill to specify that if a mandated reporter notifies the person in charge of a hospital, agency, or school, he or she would not be relieved of his or her obligation to report to the Family Independence Agency any suspected child abuse or neglect as required by the Child Protection Law.
POSITIONS:
The Family Independence Agency supports the bill. (10-31-01)
The Michigan Academy of Physician Assistants has no official position on the bill, but does not oppose it. (10-31-01)
