ADDENDUM TO SENATE FISCAL AGENCY ANALYSIS OF SB 675 DATED 10-10-01:
HOUSE COMMITTEE ACTION:
The House Criminal Justice Committee adopted a substitute bill that would retain the changes made in the Senate-passed version (changing the effective date from January 1, 2002 to February 1, 2002), but would incorporate the new sentencing guidelines contained in Senate Bill 405. (Senate Bill 405, which has been ordered enrolled, is a companion bill to Senate Bill 404, which would increase the felony threshold and establish graduated sanctions for certain offenses involving illegally obtained money or property under the Michigan Family Farm Development Act.)

The Secretary of State's Office supports the bill. (10-16-01)
