A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 4563 AS INTRODUCED 4-17-01

House Bill 4563 would amend the Michigan Vehicle Code to prohibit the display to the public of a person's personal information on a parking sticker issued to a disabled person. Currently the law specifies that a windshield placard issued to a disabled person shall bear the disabled person's driver's or chauffeur's license number or the number on his or her official state personal identification card. House Bill 4563 specifies instead that a windshield placard issued to a disabled person could not bear on its face the disabled person's driver's or chauffeur's license number, or the number of his or her official state personal identification card, and the bill also would prohibit the display of the disabled person's date of birth.
