A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 4644 AS INTRODUCED 4-24-01
House Bill 4644 would amend the Pupil Transportation Act to specify that a school district could determine the number and location of bus stops in a manufactured home park that were necessary for the receipt and discharge of students from school buses, after consultation with the parents of students affected and the owners of the park.
The bill also would update references in the law to the "state board of education," by substituting instead, "superintendent of public instruction."
