A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 4754 AS INTRODUCED 5-10-01

The Michigan Election Law requires that a petition that proposes a constitutional amendment, the initiation of legislation, or a referendum on legislation be eight-and-one-half inches by fourteen inches in size. The bill would specify that a petition sheet could be either eight-and-one-half inches by fourteen inches or eight-and-one-half inches by eleven inches in size, in either horizontal or vertical format, and specifies that it would have to contain no fewer than two signature lines.
