A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 5009 AS INTRODUCED 7-10-01

Under the Child Protection Law (MCL 722.633), a person who is required by law to report suspected child abuse or neglect and who fails to do so is guilty of a misdemeanor, punishable by imprisonment for up to 93 days, a fine of $100, or both.
