A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 5040 AS INTRODUCED 7-12-01
The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to specify that assault or battery of a public transit employee or passenger on a public transit vehicle that caused injury would be a Class F felony against a person with a four-year maximum sentence of imprisonment. The bill is tie-barred to House Bill 5039.
