A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 5093 AS INTRODUCED 9-25-01

House Bill 5093 would amend the Michigan Vehicle Code to prohibit a driver training school from conducting a behind-the-wheel road test for any person who received driver education training from that school. Under the bill, the prohibition would apply whenever an individual sought a road test in order to qualify for an original operator's or chauffeur's license without a vehicle group designation or indorsement; for an original vehicle group designation or passenger indorsement; and, for a level 2 graduated license.
