A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 6152 AS INTRODUCED 5-30-02
House Bill 6152 would amend the Highway Advertising Act of 1972 to specify that not more than 10,000 permits be allowed for billboard signs in Michigan. If more than 10,000 permits existed on the date the bill was enacted into law, then the Department of Transportation could not issue any additional permits until a sufficient number of signs had been removed, so that the total number of permits met the requirement.
