A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 6252 AS INTRODUCED 8-13-02

House Bill 6252 would amend the Revised School Code to require that school employees allow a parent or legal guardian to inspect, copy, or receive a copy of any photograph or sound- or video-recording of a student that was maintained by the school or its employees. The bill specifies that the public school could charge a reasonable fee (not to exceed actual cost) for providing the copy of a photograph or recording.
