A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 6400 AS INTRODUCED 9-24-02

House Bill 6400 would amend the Revised School Code to encourage the board of a school district (including the board of a public school academy) to include in its curriculum and instruction programs about the dangers of tobacco use. Under the bill, the programs would be based on the school health guidelines that have been published by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in order to prevent tobacco use and addiction.
