A bill to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled "Natural resources and environmental protection act," by amending section 82110 (MCL 324.82110), as added by 1995 PA 58. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT: 1 Sec. 82110. (1) The recreational snowmobile trail improve- 2 ment fund is created in the state treasury. The fund shall 3 receive money as provided by law and from any gifts or contribu- 4 tions to the fund. The state treasurer shall direct the invest- 5 ment of the fund. Interest and earnings from the fund shall be 6 credited to the fund. The fund shall be administered by the 7 department and shall be used solely for the improvement of snow- 8 mobile trails and other nonconflicting recreational purposes. 9 (2) Five dollars of each fee collected under section 82105, 10 $9.00 A PORTION of each TRAIL PERMIT fee collected AS PROVIDED 03929'01 TJS 2 1 under section 82118, and not less than 80% of the revenue from 2 the fees collected under sections 82114 and 82115 shall be depos- 3 ited in the fund. 4 (3) The department shall promulgate rules for the adminis- 5 tration of the fund. 6 (4) All funds allocated under this part shall be for 7 projects that are open to the public. 8 (5) Any money remaining in the recreational snowmobile trail 9 improvement fund at the end of a fiscal year shall not be cred- 10 ited to or revert to the general fund but shall remain in the 11 fund and shall be carried over in the fund to the next and suc- 12 ceeding fiscal years and shall only be used for the purposes 13 stated in this section. 14 Enacting section 1. This amendatory act does not take 15 effect unless House Bill No. 4409 of the 91st Legislature is 16 enacted into law. 03929'01 Final page. TJS
