Birkholz, Adamini, Gilbert, Lipsey, Neumann and Ehardt and referred to the Committee on Transportation.


        A bill to name a certain portion of highway I-69 the "Pearl

   Harbor Memorial Highway"; and to prescribe certain duties of the

   state transportation department.

               THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

           Sec. 1.  That portion of highway I-69 beginning at exit 105

      in Shiawassee county and extending east to exit 135 in Genesee

 3
      county shall be named the "Pearl Harbor Memorial Highway".

           Sec. 2.  The state transportation department shall only pro-

      vide for the erection of suitable markers indicating the name of

 6
      the highway when sufficient private contributions are received to

 7
      completely cover the cost of erecting those markers.
