A bill to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled "Natural resources and environmental protection act," by amending section 43532 (MCL 324.43532), as amended by 1996 PA 585. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT: 1 Sec. 43532. (1) A person 17 years of age or older shall not 2 take aquatic species, except aquatic insects, in the waters over 3 which this state has jurisdiction without a license. The fee 4 for a resident restricted fishing license is $13.00. Beginning 5 in 1999, the fee for a resident restricted fishing license is 6 $14.00. Beginning in 2001, the THE fee for a resident 7 restricted fishing license is $15.00. The fee for a nonresident 8 restricted fishing license is $26.00. Beginning in 1999, the fee 9 for a nonresident restricted fishing license is $30.00. 03997'01 TMV 2 1 Beginning in 2001, the THE fee for a nonresident restricted 2 fishing license is $34.00. 3 (2) The restricted fishing license entitles the licensee to 4 take aquatic species as prescribed by law other than trout or 5 salmon. 6 (3) A person 12 years of age or older but less than UNDER 7 17 years of age may take aquatic species in the waters over which 8 this state has jurisdiction without a license. However, a person 9 12 5 years of age or older, but less than UNDER 17 years of 10 age, may obtain an all-species fishing license. The fee for a 11 resident or nonresident who is 12 5 years of age or older, but 12 less than UNDER 17 years of age, for an all-species fishing 13 license is $2.00. The department shall provide a Michigan fish- 14 ing patch to the licensee with the license. The department shall 15 not sell or vendor the list of licensees under this subsection. 16 (4) A resident may purchase an all-species fishing license 17 upon payment of a fee of $26.00. Beginning in 1999, the fee for 18 a resident all-species fishing license is $27.00. Beginning in 19 2001, the THE fee for a resident all-species fishing license is 20 $28.00. The fee for a nonresident all-species fishing license 21 is $39.00. Beginning in 1999, the fee for a nonresident 22 all-species fishing license is $41.00. Beginning in 2001, the 23 THE fee for a nonresident all-species fishing license is $42.00. 24 (5) The all-species fishing license entitles the licensee to 25 take all species of aquatic species as prescribed by law. 26 (6) Any holder of A PERSON TO WHOM a valid restricted 27 fishing license HAS BEEN ISSUED may return the restricted license 03997'01 3 1 to the department or its authorized agent and receive an 2 all-species fishing license by paying a fee equal to the differ- 3 ence in cost between the all-species fishing license and the 4 restricted fishing license for which that person is eligible. 03997'01 Final page.
