A bill to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled "Natural resources and environmental protection act," by amending section 44102 (MCL 324.44102), as added by 1995 PA 57. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT: 1 Sec. 44102. (1) From March 1, 1989 to February 28, 1990, 2certain1 OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING lifetime hunting or fishing 3 licensesmay beWERE purchased bya residentCERTAIN 4 RESIDENTS of this state:as provided in this part, for the fol-5lowing fees:6 (a)The fee for aA lifetime small game license, equiva- 7 lent to the license available annually pursuant to section 43523. 8, is $220.00.01052'01 TMV 2 1 (b)The fee for aA lifetime firearm deer license, 2 equivalent to the license available annually to take 1 deer in a 3 season pursuant to section 43526., is $285.00.4 (c)The fee for aA lifetime bow and arrow deer license, 5 equivalent to the license available annually to take 1 deer in a 6 season pursuant to section 43527., is $285.00.7 (d)The fee for aA lifetime sportsperson's license, 8equivalent to the license available pursuant to section 43521,9is $1,000.00.THAT INCLUDES ALL OF THE FOLLOWING: 10 (i) A RESIDENT SMALL GAME LICENSE. 11 (ii) A RESIDENT FIREARM DEER LICENSE. 12 (iii) A RESIDENT BOW AND ARROW DEER LICENSE. 13 (iv) A RESIDENT ALL-SPECIES FISHING LICENSE. 14 (e)The fee for aA comprehensive lifetime hunting and 15 fishing licenseis $1,025.00 and shall includeTHAT INCLUDES 16 all of the following: 17 (i)ResidentA RESIDENT small game license. 18 (ii)ResidentA RESIDENT firearm deer license. 19 (iii)ResidentA RESIDENT bow and arrow deer license. 20 (iv)ResidentA RESIDENT ALL-SPECIES fishing license. 21(v) Resident trout and salmon license.22 (v)(vi) ResidentA RESIDENT bear hunting license. 23 (vi)(vii) WaterfowlA WATERFOWL hunting license. 24 (vii)(viii) ResidentA RESIDENT fur harvester's license. 25 (f)The fee for a lifetimeA LIFETIME ALL-SPECIES fishing 26 license, equivalent to theresidentannual RESIDENT ALL-SPECIES 27 fishing license issued pursuant to section 43532., is $220.00.01052'01 3 1(g) The fee for a lifetime trout and salmon license,2equivalent to the annual trout and salmon license issued pursuant3to section 43532, is $220.00.4 (2) A lifetime license issued pursuant to this section 5shall allowALLOWS the holder of that license, throughout his 6 or her lifetime, the same privileges, responsibilities, and 7 duties as would the equivalent annual license or stamp issued 8 pursuant to part 435. However, SUBJECT TO SUBSECTION (5), a 9 lifetime license issued under this part does not guarantee the 10 holder of that license the right to take game except in compli- 11 ance with harvest regulations and license and permit conditions 12 established for that species by the department. 13 (3) A lifetime license issued to a person who is a resident 14 of this state at the time the license is purchased continues to 15 be valid even if the holder of that license becomes a 16 nonresident. 17 (4) A person who holds a lifetime sportsperson license may 18 purchase a comprehensive lifetime hunting and fishing license for 19 $25.00. 20 (5) FOR THE 2002 BEAR HUNTING SEASON, IF A LOTTERY IS USED 21 TO SELECT RECIPIENTS OF A BEAR KILL TAG, THE DEPARTMENT SHALL 22 ISSUE A BEAR KILL TAG TO EVERY HOLDER OF A COMPREHENSIVE LIFETIME 23 HUNTING AND FISHING LICENSE WHO APPLIES FOR A BEAR KILL TAG. FOR 24 EACH SUBSEQUENT BEAR HUNTING SEASON IN WHICH A LOTTERY IS USED TO 25 SELECT RECIPIENTS OF A BEAR KILL TAG, THE LESSER OF THE FOLLOWING 26 NUMBER OF BEAR KILL TAGS SHALL BE RESERVED FOR HOLDERS OF A 27 COMPREHENSIVE LIFETIME HUNTING AND FISHING LICENSE: 01052'01 4 1 (A) TEN PERCENT OF THE TOTAL NUMBER OF BEAR KILL TAGS TO BE 2 ISSUED THAT SEASON. 3 (B) SEVENTY-FIVE PERCENT OF THE NUMBER OF BEAR KILL TAGS 4 ISSUED TO HOLDERS OF COMPREHENSIVE LIFETIME HUNTING AND FISHING 5 LICENSES FOR THE 2002 BEAR HUNTING SEASON. 01052'01 Final page.
