        A bill to amend 1872 PA 62, entitled

   "An act regulating trials of impeachment and providing for the
   expenses thereof,"

   by amending section 15 (MCL 6.15).

               THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

             Sec. 15.  The presiding officer and members of the senate,

 2
        while sitting as a court of impeachment, and the managers elected

 3
        by the house, shall receive the sum of 5 dollars each per day,

 4
        and mileage at the rate of 10 cents per mile in going from and

 5
        returning to their places of residence by the ordinarily traveled

 6
        routes; and the compensation of the secretary, sergeant-at-arms,

 7
        and all subordinate officers, clerks, and reporters, shall be

 8
         such  an amount as shall be  fixed  ESTABLISHED by the vote of

 9
        the members of  such  THE court.  The state treasurer shall, upon

        presentation of a certificate or certificates signed by the

        presiding officer and secretary of the senate  and countersigned

 2
        by the auditor general  pay all the expenses of the senate and

 3
        managers elected by the house, which may be incurred under  the

 4
        provisions of  this act.
