        A bill to amend 1901 PA 6, entitled

   "An act to provide for the employment of clerks or assistants in
   the executive office of this state,"

   by amending section 1 (MCL 10.11).

               THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

             Sec. 1.  The governor may from time to time employ  such

 2
        clerks and assistants in addition to those already provided for

 3
        by law, for service in his OR HER department, as  he  THE

 4
        GOVERNOR may consider necessary, the compensation of  such  THOSE

 5
        clerks and assistants to be determined by the governor and to be

 6
        paid from the general fund on the warrant of the  auditor

 7
        general  STATE TREASURER, in like manner as the salaries of state

 8
        officers are paid.  :  Provided, That nothing in this act shall

 9
        authorize the payment of any salary exceeding 1,200 dollars per

        year.
