A bill to amend 1846 RS 21, entitled

"Of specific state taxes and duties,"

by amending sections 26 and 29 (MCL 446.26 and 446.29).

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

1 Sec. 26. Any A citizen of this state may become an auc-

2 tioneer within the county in which he OR SHE resides, DOES BUSI-

3 NESS, OR CONDUCTS FORECLOSURE SALES, on executing and delivering

4 to the treasurer of such THAT county , a bond in the penal

5 sum of 2,500 dollars, $2,500.00 with 2 or more sufficient sure-

6 ties to be approved by such THE COUNTY treasurer , AND condi-

7 tioned for the payment to such THE COUNTY treasurer , of all

8 auction duties upon goods or property which may be sold by him

9 OR HER, according to law.

10 Sec. 29. Every such A statement , verified, as

11 aforesaid, COMPLYING WITH SECTION 28 shall, within 10 days after

1 the date thereof OF EXECUTION, be delivered by such THE

2 auctioneer to the treasurer of the county in which he resides,

3 and such THE FORECLOSURE SALE WAS CONDUCTED. THE auctioneer

4 shall, at the time of delivering such THE statement, pay over

5 to such THE county treasurer the duties chargeable by law upon

6 the sales specified in such THE statement , and take ACCEPT

7 the treasurer's receipt therefor, which receipt shall be coun-

8 tersigned by FOR the PAYMENT. THE clerk of the same county ,

9 who shall make an entry of SHALL COUNTERSIGN THE RECEIPT AND

10 ENTER the amount thereof, in a proper book to be kept by him for

11 that purpose OF THE PAYMENT IN THE COUNTY RECORDS.
